Rey Mysterio’s phone call for help came through, albeit very late, as Carlito returned to WWE last night at Fastlane to help the LWO.
Mysterio and Santos Escobar worked mostly a two-on-three handicap match against Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits until the closing moments of the match when Carlito’s new theme song hit the speakers to a big pop from the crowd.
The former United States champion ran down and got the hot tag from Mysterio, cleaning house and eventually getting the quick pinfall on Montez Ford.
During the Fastlane press conference, Triple H said that he was excited to have Carlito “back home” and to see what he can do.
Carlito was last seen at Backlash in May in Puerto Rico when he received a monster pop for coming out to help Bad Bunny in his street fight against Damien Priest. He signed a new WWE deal soon after.
