It looks like former multi-time women’s champion Asuka has undergone knee surgery, posting a photo from a hospital bed with her knee heavily bandaged and in a big brace.
Asuka, who had been working in a lot of pain for a few months, last wrestled at the Backlash France premium live event, losing the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles with Kairi Sane against Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. After the match, Asuka thanked her fellow Damage CTRL members for helping her get through the difficult several months due to her injury.
The Japanese star is looking at several months out on the sidelines with this injury.
