Mercedes Varnado made her debut with New Japan Pro-Wrestling as Mercedes Moné, showing up after Kairi successfully defended the IWGP Women’s title.
Sporting a completely new look, the former Sasha Banks came out with a shorter, multi-colored hair, and a geisha-like outfit. She entered the ring, removed her outfit to reveal her new ring gear, and went face to face with Kairi.
Kairi held her IWGP Women’s title up high and then Mercedes offered to shake her hand. Kairi took the bait and Mercedes turned it into a move which was botched a little bit.
She then took the mic and introduced herself to the audience as the standard, the conversation, the blue print, and the CEO of the women’s division.
With Kairi on the mat, Mercedes told her that she will wrestle her for the title on February 18 at the Battle In The Valley event in San Jose.
“In San Jose, I’m gonna leave you bankrupt, bitch, and you can bank…on…that!”
